Well Formed
The parabolic forming mandrel for contra bassoon reeds is newly designed to meet your reed making needs. Several crucial measurements were taken from a host of contra bassoon reeds in the most popular shapes to provide key thicknesses at the back of the reed as well as throughout the tube.
The tip of the mandrel is less than 2 mm wide - small enough to fit between the pieces of cane after folding and help open up the tube. Use one mandrel to form the tubes from start to finish.
