The light plaque will make your reed making easier. Thanks to the adjustable light intensity, even the finest details can be recognized when scraping. The Plaque is shipped in a "demo" mode which will turn the light off automatically after several seconds. For first-time use, press and hold the button for approximately 20 seconds (until the light turns off) to disable this demo mode.
Locate the small notch on the backside of the flashlight near the keyring end. Remove the battery cap by carefully insert a small pointed object in this notch between the body of the light and the battery cap. Install new batteries with the + side towards the cap. Be sure the top battery is under the metal strap.Replace battery cap by first lining up tab on cap with notch in body of case.
