The knife was designed by JDR and manufactured by the Japanese knifemaking workshop Yoshisada Knives. This forge boasts a history of over 360 years.

The blade of this reed knife features a sharper angle than a standard steel knife, making it ideal for the final finish of reeds. The sheath and case are made of elm wood.

The knife is available for both left- and right-handed users.
