To rotate the blade, first loosen the screw on the underside of the blade holder with the attached screwdriver.

Carefully rotate the blade to the next desired position.

Hold the blade in place while tightening the screw with the provided screwdriver and you are ready to profile.
A Revolution into the Future
After years of development, Reeds 'n Stuff is proud to offer the Blade 360°. When the blade becomes dull simply rotate to the next sharp section and continue profiling. This can be done at least 6 times, providing reeds and reeds of profiling before a replacement blade is needed.
The screw holding the blade is easily accessed from the underside, meaning once the height of the blade holder is set, you can set it and forget it. Simply loosen the screw, rotate the blade, and re-tighten the screw. Within seconds you can continue profiling reeds, rather than having to replace the entire blade.
Note: be sure not to over-tighten the screw holding the blade. Due to its small size it is possible to damage the screw and/or screwdriver in this manner.
FAQ 360° Blade
The Blade 360° can be used in at least 6 positions. Those who are very careful and precise could potentially use smaller rotations and therefore more positions.
You only need to purchase the blade holder once. After this only new spare blades need be be purchased, as the holder can be reused.
The Blade 360° with blade holder is delivered with several extra screws and the necessary screwdriver to adjust, rotate, and replace the blades. It is also possible to purchase a service set that includes extra screws and a replacement screwdriver.
The Blade 360° is designed to replace the current blade for the oboe profiling and bassoon tip profiling machines. If your oboe profiling or bassoon tip profiling machine has a curved blade, then the Blade 360° will fit on your machine.
