Freedom and Joy
This shape was created in collaboration with Jim Rodgers, contrabassoonist of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, and is a scaled up version of the KOR shape for bassoon.
It has raised the level of enjoyment I experience playing the contrabassoon much higher. The shape allows me to play more freely, without as much micromanagement of the challenges one typically faces when playing the contrabassoon. I have very good control of stability of tone, intonation, and dynamics, and it is very comfortable for my embouchure, which has made it a more ideal shape for doubling with bassoon (an added bonus).

リーズンスタッフのストレートシェーパーは、作業中にリード材が動かない様に、中心にシリコンのストッパーがついています。
（内側のガウジングのみで表側のプロファイリング前に使用する人は、ストッパーを取り外してください。）
形の一番細い場所に印が付いています、刃物の方向を転換する位置です。
118ミリの場所に付いている印は、全長120ミリの材料をセンタリングする為です。
