The R12 core was developed in collaboration with Carlo Romano. The aim was to achieve more volume when playing.
The basis for the development was the D12 staple. While the upper and lower dimensions of the staple have remained the same, the transition from the oval top to the round bottom is completely different. In terms of playing technique, the brass staple have similar properties to the original Klopfer or Glotin staples.
